In collaboration with the development and marketing and communications team, the Community PartnershipsCoordinator works to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward sponsors and annual donors. Reporting to the DevelopmentManager, this position will coordinate sponsor recruitment, support new member recruitment campaigns, support digital and direct mail annual fundraising campaigns, assist in developing philanthropy-based messages and stories for the foundation’s communications, and builds personal connections with mid-range donors ($500 - $1,000) to improve retention and increased giving. This position will also collaborate with the Donor Stewardship Coordinator and Executive Director in the functions of prospect research donor engagement. The primary goal is to drive sustainable financial growth through sponsor and donor cultivation leading to increased philanthropic support.
The Program Manager will immerse themselves in existing values, content, and programming efforts of the Aldo Leopold Foundation as they build an understanding of our assets and the needs of our stakeholders. They will maintain and improve ongoing virtual programming efforts while curating new virtual and in-person programs that fuel participants in their personal and professional land ethic journeys. With the aspirational goal of catalyzing a national land ethic movement, this position will focus on the needs of participants and deliver high quality offerings for enrichment, connection, and engagement in the conservation world. In this role, the Program Manager will have both mentorship and autonomy to explore their creative and process-oriented talents while working closely with a team of skilled, passionate individuals who share a commitment to the organization’s mission.
The Leopold tradition of cultivating conservation leaders originates with Leopold’s own impact on his graduate students and his children. Today this tradition is carried on in the Future Leaders Program. As the Fellowship Program Coordinator, you play a vital role in developing these future conservation leaders by providing experiences that introduce, expose, and cultivate proficiencies. This position creates opportunities for program participants to work alongside professionals and scholars. We anticipate program graduates growing into leadership roles in nonprofits, government agencies, universities and private companies. This position aspires for greater program reach, impact, and prominence through new opportunities and partnerships.
The Fellowship Program Coordinator will supervise and mentor 3 to 6 Leopold Fellows hired each year through the Future Leaders Program. This position is responsible for the fellow’s overall experience and professional development as early career young adults in the environmental conservation field. There is a lot of potential for programmatic growth within the FLP, as time and planning allow. A successful program will coordinate and schedule professional development sessions using subject matter experts to train the Leopold Fellows in the seven core areas of the FLP. As supervisor and mentor, the Fellowship Program Coordinator will develop Fellows’ personal and professional growth during the Fellowship year and career connections and placement beyond when possible.
