This spring, we launched a Spring Equipment Campaign to raise funds to buy much needed equipment for our land stewardship crew, including a compact tractor, four-seat UTV, riding mower, chainsaws, chaps and other protective gear, among other items.
Today, we’re very pleased to announce that we exceeded our fundraising goal of $50,000! Thanks to your generous donations, our stewardship crew will now be better equipped to do research and care for the land on and around the historic Leopold Shack and Farm.
Special thanks go to Craig and Michelle Larson, who along with Jim and Margie Pines matched the first $25,000 in contributions to this campaign. We also want to recognize our equipment partners, Kubota and McFarlanes’ in Sauk City, WI, whose valuable assistance allowed us to surpass our $50,000 goal.
Whether you donated money or a piece of equipment, we sincerely appreciate your support of our equipment drive! We hope you’ll visit us soon to see firsthand the land management efforts that you’ve help make possible.
