Education & Outreach Fellow

My name is Lauren Graves, and I am a 21-year-old Marshall, Wisconsin native with a passion for politics, popcorn, and sustainability. I spent the last three and a half years attending the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire, and I completed my Bachelor’s degree this past December. My environmental background began when I studied abroad in Costa Rica, where I had the opportunity to take environmental studies courses for the first time. Inspired by this experience, I returned to UW- Eau Claire and created a personalized degree in Sustainability and Global Environment that allowed me to study society, environment, and mindful change. During my time at the University, I completed coursework and applied research in the areas of climate change, land management, and sustainability. Outside of my academic pursuits, I enjoy running, hiking, and going to concerts. I consider myself an outdoor enthusiast and a life-long learner, and I aspire to one day combine these qualities and work in a university setting as either a sustainability coordinator or a professor of environmental studies.
