As the Fellows Curriculum Coordinator, I am responsible for planning and implementing the formal curriculum components for the newly revamped Future Leaders Program at the Leopold Foundation. The curriculum focuses on six key components: conservation leadership, communication, finance and fundraising, applied science and natural history, partnership building, and strategic planning. I  also work on a collection of other special projects, including the Wisconsin Wildlife Phenology calendar.

I grew up on a lake just outside of a small town called Eveleth in the Iron Range in Northern Minnesota. I graduated from University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and earned my master’s degree in environmental conservation from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2015.
