Calling All Nature Photographers!

(Photograph above is “Cranes in Cumulus” taken by Joe Riederer)

Our 2023 Phenology Calendar is already in the works, and we need your help making it come to life!

The theme is Time to Move, and it’s centered around plants and animals dispersing and migrating! We are currently looking for the following photos to feature in next year’s calendar:

January: Birch trees in winter

March: Beaver

May: Cottonwood tree in spring

October: Witch hazel plant in fall

If your photo is selected as the iconic species of the month, you will be credited in the calendar, and you will receive two complimentary calendars as a thank you for your support. All photos must be framed horizontally, in color, print quality, and at least 3,000 pixels across. The deadline to submit photos is July 31st.

Please submit photos to emily@aldoleopold.org. All entries require a completed photo permission form (below) to be considered valid.

You can still get a copy of the 2022 Phenology Calendar! Visit the Bookstore for more details.
