Every fall, we end our visitation season with our Art Discovery Day at the Leopold Center. We’ve begun the planning for our 10th annual event, set for October 28, 2017, and are looking for regional artists and artists to exhibit their work.
About Art Discovery Day
Art has a unique ability to facilitate connections between people and land. Join us to celebrate and appreciate the work of regional artists who find inspiration in the land ethic and the natural world. Visitors can discover new art, see demonstrations, talk with artists, and even start their holiday shopping a little early. Mark your calendar and plan to join us!
Call for Artists
Are you an artist or artisan? We’re seeking local and regional talent to become part of Art Discovery Day! With talented artisans as their guides, we hope to inspire our visitors to think critically about the ways their lives impact the natural world and how art inspires them to deepen that connection.
- Work should be inspired by or have
a direct connection to the natural world.
- Artists and artisans are encouraged to offer hands-on activities, do demonstrations, and
bring original work to exhibit and sell on Art Day. - No imported, manufactured work or works from commercial kits or molds are allowed.
Interested? Submit an application to the selection committee! Completed applications and materials may be submitted by email or mail. Applications are due September 1. The selection committee will review proposals and make selection notifications by September 14.
