Join Union County Soil and Water Conservation District for a virtual Leopold Education Project Workshop!
The Leopold Education Project (LEP) is an interdisciplinary conservation ethics curriculum that strives to instill a land ethic in today’s youth and provide teacher’s with the tools to connect students to the natural world. This curriculum is based on the essays found in Aldo Leopold’s conservation classic, A Sand County Almanac, a book that contains month by month descriptions of his relationship with the environment. Through this course, educators and conservationists alike will find a variety of hands-on ways to deepen their student’s awareness of the outdoors.
This course will consist of:
1) Pre-work that must be completed before March 13th
2) Zoom call on March 13th from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM
3) Follow-up homework assignments in Google Classroom (You must have a Google account in order to participate)
