How long is the film?
Total running time, including the credit roll, is 73:30 minutes.

If I buy a screening license, can I show Green Fire more than once?
Yes.  Once you purchase the screening license, you or your organization has rights to sponsor as many public screenings as you wish.  However, the box of publicity materials is designed to cover only one event.  If you wish to order additional publicity materials, please contact us for purchasing information.

What is expected of me if I host a screening?
We request that you submit a report to us on the success of each of your events as a way to help document the film’s impact and the growing reach of Leopold’s vision.

Can I see the film before I order a screening license?
Yes.  If the sponsoring organization needs to review Green Fire before deciding to host a screening, we would be happy to mail you a review screener DVD at your expense, with the expectation that you will return it after viewing.

Do we have to use a speaker with the film?
No. We fully expect that each event will be different.  Some event coordinators wish to engage a speaker at their event along with the film.  To facilitate that process, we have listed the speaker rates on our website, and encourage communication with speakers to go through the Aldo Leopold Foundation to minimize calendar conflicts.  You may also consider local experts in your community to serve in this capacity.

Is there a limit to the size of my audience?
No.  Your public screening license covers everything from showing Green Fire to 15 people in your conservation club to showing it for an audience of 800 students in a university auditorium and everything in between.  It is a one-size-fits-all package.

How do I get a copy for a library, school, or university?
If you represent a library or academic institution, please purchase a screening license.  If you do not foresee a need for publicity materials to help you host an event at your institution, you may order just the film and license.

I would like to show Green Fire in my community, but my organization cannot afford to purchase the screening license.
While the screening license fee helps to cover many of our direct and indirect costs in helping you to show Green Fire, we do not want it to be prohibitive to small community groups who are eager to show the film to audiences we might not otherwise reach.  We have a limited number of free screening kits available; please contact us for more information.

How can I order a copy for home viewing?
DVDs for home viewing are available for purchase through the Aldo Leopold Foundation bookstore.  The cost is $20 per DVD plus shipping.

What are the future distribution plans for Green Fire?
Our plan, pending available finances, is to release Green Fire on public television in the spring 2012.
