Sharon Dana, St. Paul, Minnesota

The Biotic Pyramid illustration, “A Biotic View of Land”

Sharon Dana is a graphic designer and owner of Dana Graphic Design in the Twin Cities. She works closely with the Aldo Leopold Foundation on a variety of publications. Dana drew from Aldo Leopold’s description and original illustration that appeared with “A Biotic View of Land” (Journal of Forestry, 1939).

Jon Lee, Coon Valley, Wisconsin

Farm scenes, “Take Care of the Earth” and “The Leopold Atlas”

A Wisconsin native, Jon Lee has traveled 6 of 7 continents photographing but calls Wisconsin his favorite, photographically. Jon specializes in farming landscapes, portraits, and farmers working the land. Jon also has a line of postcards and greeting cards depicting rural scenes.

Robert McCabe, 1914-1995

A graduate student of Aldo Leopold, McCabe photographed this classic image of at the shack in 1944. McCabe served as Leopold’s assistant and was chair of the University of Wisconsin Department of Wildlife Ecology for 27 years.

David Wisnefske, Argyle, Wisconsin

David Wisnefske is a member of the Aldo Leopold Foundation and has restored woodland, savanna, wetland, stream and prairie habitat on Savanna Springs Farm near Argyle.
